Bearer SotaConnect SDSL uses a service available from BT, which provides either one or two pairs of copper between two locations served by the same telephone exchange. The circuit is known as an EPS9 (single pair) or EPS8 (dual pair). One problem with SDSL technology is that the available bandwidth reduces with distance. However, SotaConnect SDSL combines an EPS8 circuit with loop-bonding technology, providing up to 2Mbps, providing the total distance between the SotaConnect PoP and the customer site via the BT exchange is less than 4 miles. |
